Our Philosophy

of Child Care...

Our philosophy for child care and our first priority is to help children build self-esteem through the use of praise and encouragement; one of the most important milestones of childhood is the development of self-esteem. Our second priority is to provide a happy, comfortable environment in which children can increase their skills in various areas.

Coulee Children's Center is designed to provide quality child care for children of all abilities. We are based on the concept of full inclusion in order for children to have the opportunity to learn and accept differences among individuals.

Our facility is designed specifically to fulfill our mission by creating a comfortable child-oriented environment.

We believe that children:

• Learn best in a positive environment in which they are given opportunities to be active participants.
• Benefit from spending time with caring adults who recognize and respect the unique qualities of each child.
• Learn mainly through the use of their five senses.
• Benefit from positive interaction with their peers and adults.

Our Goals are to:

• Allow children to explore their environment within a balance of adult guidance and independence.
• Provide children with ample opportunities to interact, play and cooperate with their peers.
• Allow children opportunities to solve their own problems whenever possible.
• Provide child with opportunities to express their opinions and feelings.
